It has
been agreed by a wide range of Hillingdon agencies to update the
Borough physical activity strategy. Local health needs assessment
demonstrates that the majority of Hillingdon residents would
benefit, both in the prevention and management of disease, from
taking more exercise.
As part
of the "2012 Olympic Legacy", NHS London will work with Hillingdon
on a project called "My Best Move". West London
Medical centre will be one of two practices in London Borough of
Hillingdon to take part in the project. We were the
first to join the project in Hillingdon and will use the 2012 Olympics and
Paralympics to promote physical exercise to our patients.
The strategy is led by Dr
Ellis Friedman, Joint Director of Public Health , NHS Hillingdon &
London Borough of Hillingdon .

We moved to 20 Pield Heath Road on 5th May 2011. Mayor
of Hillingdon, Cllr David Yarrow opened the new premises . There are no changes in surgery opening times
or telephone/fax numbers. We will get more space and a car park and
will be able to offer better services to our patients.

If you need to see a GP at anytime other than normal surgery opening
hours, you will need to ring the out of hours GP service on 0300

Please note that GPs are not medico-legally covered to deal with
dental problems. If you have a dental emergency please contact
your dentist for advice. If you do not have a dentist , you may ring
Hillingdon PCT at 01895 452 068 during office hours
and 0203 4021312 during out of hours for help.
We hope that

know more about the practice, or how best to make use of our
services. We hope that it will also offer useful links to other
resources, both within and outside the NHS.
