Dr Shashikanth has won NHS Hillingdon's prestigious  'GP of the year -2009' award . GPs working in areas governed by NHS Hillingdon ( Hillingdon PCT) chose him for his extensive contributions to local GP education , networking and peer  support.

Antenatal clinics will be held on Thursday mornings ( previously held on Monday afternoons). We have a new midwife ,Mrs Yen Delves. Nicole left to take up a managerial post in Hillingdon Hospital. Nurse clinics have been increased from 4 to 5 per week .There is an additional nurse clinic on Monday afternoons for convenience of patients.

From 1.4.2009 ,the surgery offers an additional late clinic on Tuesdays making  the total number of extended clinics to 3 ( Wednesday am ,Tuesday pm and Thursday pm)

Information for GP retainer applicants - (Two Sessions)

Are you looking for a friendly dynamic forward thinking practice to do your retainer post?

 London Deanery  have  agreed to our  advertising for a GP to join the scheme at West London Medical Centre .

2 sessions per week with a possibility to go up to 3 sessions in the medium term/ n GMS practice with 2600 patients/EMIS &Paper light/High QOF points/Clinical team comprises of full-time principal, asst GP and Nurse/ No OOH/ Full support from admin team/Patient surveys  consistently showing high level of satisfaction/Using BMA model contract.

 We believe in delivering evidence based , patient-centred care with traditional values of family practice and we take pride in our continuing commitment to sessional GP welfare.

A new patient calling system was installed in practice and operational from 31.3.2008. This LCD panel is situated above the reception. On arrival ,patients  will report to reception first to register attendance following which they will be asked to take a seat. When they are  ready to be seen by Doctor/Nurse  , they will hear a beep and the name will appear on the screen above reception informing them which consulting room to attend. The receptionist will not be calling out for the patient. If you have impairment of vision , please let the receptionist know.
